Achim Szepanski, geboren bei Karlsruhe.
Nach dem Abitur studierte er in Frankfurt/ Main Wirtschaftspädagogik und Soziologie. Stand zu dieser Zeit in politischer Verbindung u.a. mit der Zeitschrift Langer Marsch.
1986 Einstieg in das Universum der elektronischen Musik.
1988 Gründung des Labels Blackout.
1991 gründete er das Label Force Inc. Music Works, 1994 folgte das Label MILLE PLATEAUX, 1996 Position Chrome,1998 forcetracks & Ritornell. In dieser Zeit entwickelte er Konzeption & Sounddesign für die Compilationserien Rauschen, Modulation & Transformation, Clicks & Cuts, Digital Disco.
Während der 90er Jahre zahlreiche Interviews, u. a. mit Simon Reynolds, Wire, De-Bug, Viva, Spex, Frankfurter Rundschau, Groove, Liberation, Village Voice NYC, MTV, New York Times, FAZ, Pierre Bourdieu, Gilles Deleuze etc.
Aufsätze zur Theorie des Maschinellen, Psychologie und Gesellschaft, Adorno, Foucault, Deleuze/Guattari und zur Theorie der elektronischen Musik.
1995 Hrsg. der CD Compilation »In Memoriam Gilles Deleuze«, Mille Plateaux.
2003 Hrsg. zusammen mit Markus S. Kleiner »Soundcultures«, Edition Suhrkamp.

Achim Szepanski, born in Karlsruhe.
He studied sociology in Frankfurt/ Germany.
He was part of new left newspapers LANGER MARSCH & INITIATIVE SOZIALISTISCHES FORUM FREIBURG.
1980 he programmed keyboards for the industrial group PD.
1986 he started dealing with electronic music.
1988 he founded the label BLACKOUT.
1991 FORCE INC MUSIC WORKS, 1994 MILLE PLATEAUX, 1996 POSITION CHROME,1998 FORCETRACKS & RITORNELL. He was responsible for concept & development of sounddesign for compilations like RAUSCHEN, MODULATION & TRANSFORMATION, CLICKS & CUTS, DIGITAL DISCO.
During the nineties he gave several interviews with Simon Reynolds, Wire, De-Bug, Viva, Spex, Frankfurter Rundschau, Groove, Liberation, Village Voice NYC, MTV, New York Times, FAZ, Pierre Bourdieu, Gilles Deleuze etc.
Essays about Adorno, Foucault, Deleuze/Guattari and theory of electronic music.
